ABOUT US
SEANC District 47 is primary composed of members from the Wake County and
surrounding counties. Our members work for the following agencies:
Dept. of Administration,
Dept. of Commerce,
Dept. of Corrections,
Dept. of Crime Control,
Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources,
Dept. of Health and Human Services,
Dept. of Insurance,
Dept. of Labor, Employment Security Commission,
Dept. of Public Instruction,
Dept. of Revenue,
Dept. of Transportation,
Sec. of State, and
State Treasurer.
We also enjoy having many retired state employees who worked for the
agencies listed above and some affiliate members and SEANC staff.
Our Code of Ethics
The purpose of the CODE OF ETHICS is to preserve and promote public
confidence in their integrity of the State Employees Association of North
Carolina, Inc. (SEANC), its elected officials, the Central Office
staff and its general membership.
In fulfillment of this obligation, the member:

Shall uphold the Bylaws regulating the activities of the
State Employees Association of North Carolina, Inc. (SEANC).

Shall not condone, nor engage in, any activity that would
undermine SEANC's goals and objectives.

Shall not form alliances, make decisions, or engage in
activities in the pursuit of SEANC duties that would discriminate on the
basis of race, color, creed, sex, national origin, marital status, political
or religious beliefs, family, social or cultural background, or sexual
orientation.

Shall not disclose information regarding SEANC business
obtained in the course of service to the Association unless such disclosure
is in the best interest of SEANC and its members.

Shall not provide special favors or privileges, nor shall
accept favors or benefits for personal gain which might be construed
as,directly or indirectly, influencing the performance of SEANC's official
duties.

Shall strive to promote SEANC's commitment to enhancing the
quality of life for state employees, thereby improving the lives of all
citizens.
